Professor Adrian Harvey has retired from the University of Liverpool where he researched and taught geomorphology courses to undergraduates. He writes well and has produced an engaging book that is packed with information aided by superb photographs and excellent diagrams and maps. Adrian Harvey is a keen local historian, with a career in graphic design, journalism and publishing in both Australia and Scotland. He is currently the owner/director of the Andrew Paterson Collection (www.patersoncollection.co.uk/) of vintage glass negatives and curator of the online Scottish Highlander Photo Archive.
